With Henderson’s ESPY win, she joins the likes of legends Michelle Wie and Annika Sörenstam, besting a tough field of nominees that included Sung Hyun Park (#1 in World Golf Rankings), Jin Young Ko (#2 in World Golf Rankings) and Ariya Jutanugarn (#7 in World Golf Rankings).

“This is such an incredible honour — both to receive this award alongside my peers, as well as athletes in every sport — many of whom have been a great inspiration to me throughout my entire career,” said Brooke Henderson. “At the end of the day, we all elevate each other’s performances — and I want to celebrate Sung Hyun’s, Jin Young’s and Ariya’s incredible talents on the Tour and look forward to continuing to compete with them for the remainder of the LPGA season.”

“This phenomenal athlete hasn’t just broken Canada’s history books — she’s done it in record time with four straight years of multiple titles in the majors, winning all of her victories in the last couple of years in Skechers GO GOLF,” added Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers. “Her talent and confidence on the green has made her an icon for the sport, an inspiration to golfers everywhere and an incredible ambassador for our brand. We’re thrilled to congratulate her on this well-deserved honor, and we look forward to seeing what’s next for this legend in the making.”

Voted on by professionals and fans, the Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards (ESPYs) celebrates the highest-achieving individuals and teams in sports, spotlighting the year’s most popular athletic icons.

Henderson has become a prominent face in women’s golf since turning professional in December 2014. She won her first LPGA Tour event in 2015 at the Cambria Portland Classic, a title she would defend in 2016. She went on to become the second youngest player to capture a major championship with her win at the 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. In 2016, Brooke also represented Canada at the 2016 Olympic games in Brazil, where she tied for seventh place. In 2018, she was the first Canadian to win the Lotte Championship, and she also became the first Canadian in 45 years to win the national championship at the CP Women’s Open. Now with nine titles, Henderson owns the record for most professional golf wins by a male or female Canadian — surpassing greats Sandra Post, Mike Weir, and George Knudson. She is currently ranked #8 in the World Golf Rankings.

Henderson joined the Skechers Performance team in 2016, wears Skechers GO GOLF footwear and apparel on tour and has been featured in ongoing marketing campaigns for the brand. Known for its lightweight, high-quality, stable and comfortable designs, Skechers Performance GO GOLF has achieved prominence within the golf category alongside the brand’s award-winning running, walking and training collections. The Skechers Performance GO GOLF apparel line offers athletes comfort and freedom of movement through a wide assortment of styles constructed with innovative moisture-wicking fabrics in a variety of colors for both men and women.

Skechers Performance GO GOLF is available at Skechers retail stores and skechers.com as well as select retail partners, including specialty golf pro shops.

Skechers GO RUN Maxroad 4 Hyper™ Wins Two Editorial Awards at Outdoor Retailer

Skechers GO RUN Maxroad 4 Hyper™ Wins Two Editorial Awards at Outdoor Retailer

Jun 26, 2019 • 9:00 am EDT

Maximum cushion performance running road shoe named “Best of” by Shape magazine and “Editors’ Choice” by Runner’s World

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
Skechers made a big impression at the Outdoor Retailer 2019 show with their new road running shoe—Skechers GO RUN Maxroad 4 Hyper™— earning a double dose of editorial awards, “Best of Outdoor Retailer” award by Shape magazine as well as “Editors’ Choice Outdoor Retailer” by Runner’s World.

In describing the Skechers GO RUN Maxroad 4 Hyper in their “Best of” awards roundup, Shape editors noted, “We’re suckers for running sneakers with that soft, sock-like knit upper and these are a beautiful pair on the brand’s bouncy and responsive cushioning technology. For a smooth, neutral run with a featherlight feel, slip in, lace them up and head out.”

Runner’s World selected 16 standout products from the event to earn the “Editors’ Choice” award. In their writeup on the Skechers GO RUN Maxroad 4 Hyper, the editors noted, “we liked this because it’s so widely appealing. Like the current version, the Max Road 4 is a lightweight, well-cushioned trainer (the Max in its name is for max cushioning). But this model gets the company’s Hyperburst midsole. The material is produced with some fun science (plasma!) to create a platform that’s responsive and cushioned yet weighs less than a traditional EVA foam.”

These accolades continue the recognition that Skechers has been earning for its latest generation of performance running styles featuring Skechers Hyper Burst™. Earlier this year, Skechers GO RUN Razor 3 Hyper™ was named Editors’ Choice by Runner’s World, and Outside named Skechers GO RUN 7 Hyper™ “Gear of the Year” for the road running category in its Summer 2019 Buyer’s Guide.

“As the awards keep coming in, it’s clear that runners and editors have fallen in love with our collection of performance shoes featuring our innovative Hyper Burst cushioning,” said Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers. “We will continue expanding the range of products featuring this groundbreaking technology to make it accessible, so more runners can find it in their favorite style to experience for themselves. Now with Skechers GO RUN Maxroad 4 Hyper added to the line, we look forward to hearing the feedback from runners who need that total cushion for comfort and support on long distance runs.”

Skechers GO RUN Maxroad 4 Hyper was designed for maximum cushion on the road—it’s a perfect shoe for putting in the miles but also competitive enough to run marathons and ultramarathons. The key advancement in the shoe is the Hyper Burst midsole, which is made using a “super critical™” foaming process to create spherically-shaped cells in tight format. It is the lightest and most resilient midsole foam that Skechers Performance has offered to date. The unique cell structure is unlike most other EVA foams on the market today.

The style also sets itself apart with a breathable compression knit upper for a sock-like fit. The upper material provides multi-zone stretch and is designed to stretch in certain areas while providing structure and durability where needed. It’s lightweight, streamlined and features flex grooves in the forefoot to aid in flexibility, plus the signature M-Strike technology helps promote a midfoot strike for natural motion and greater efficiency in every stride.

The Skechers Performance division was established in 2012 with Meb Keflezighi wearing the first model of Skechers GO RUN, and the collection has earned respect throughout the running world and won numerous awards within the footwear industry. Skechers Elite runner Edward Cheserek trains, races and has won numerous races in styles featuring the new Hyper Burst midsole.

The Skechers GO RUN Maxroad 4 Hyper for men and women will be available in the Fall at Skechers retail stores and skechers.com as well as select retail partners.

Skechers GO GOLF® Elite Athlete Brooke Henderson Sets Canadian Pro Title Record

Jun 17, 2019 • 5:42 pm EDT

Earning 9th career victory
at Meijer LPGA Classic, Henderson now holds more titles than any
Canadian golf pro

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
Skechers elite golfer Brooke Henderson etched her name in the record
books with a win at the Meijer LPGA Classic yesterday at Blythefield
Country Club in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Competing in Skechers GO GOLF,
Henderson won by finishing 21 under par to achieve her ninth LPGA title
and took sole ownership of the record for most wins by a Canadian on the
LPGA or PGA Tours. Henderson also matched the tournament record that she
set with a previous win in 2017.

“I was honestly left a bit speechless today—to now hold the Canadian
wins title is an incredible honour, especially considering the legendary
careers of Sandra Post, Mike Weir, and George Knudson,” said Brooke
Henderson. “I’ve always had serious goals and aspirations for my career,
but never did I imagine reaching this one so quickly. I felt confident
holding the lead through each day, but it was certainly close at the end
for what I’m sure was an exciting finish for the fans. To have my family
watching from the course, especially my dad on Father’s Day, meant the
world to me. I appreciate the support of my family, golf fans and
Skechers along this journey.”

“There is not a more deserving or amazing talent than Brooke Henderson
to earn the record for all-time wins by a Canadian pro golfer,” said
Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers. “We’ve been cheering along
with the fans as Brooke has taken these nine wins so early in her
career. She’s an inspiration and an essential asset to our team as she
proves again and again that when competing in Skechers GO GOLF, there is
no limit to what you can accomplish in your game.”

Henderson has become a prominent face in women’s golf since turning
professional in December 2014. She won her first LPGA Tour event in 2015
at the Cambria Portland Classic, a title she would defend with her
second career win in 2016. She then went on to become the second
youngest player to capture a major championship with her win at the 2016
KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. In 2016, Brooke also represented Canada

championship at the CP Women’s Open. Now with nine titles, Henderson
owns the record for most professional golf wins by a male or female
Canadian—surpassing greats Sandra Post, Mike Weir, and George Knudson.

Henderson joined the Skechers Performance team in 2016 and wears
Skechers GO GOLF footwear and apparel on tour and has been featured in
ongoing marketing campaigns for the brand. This weekend she competed in
Skechers GO GOLF Elite 3-Deluxe™ footwear set to release to the public
later this year.

Known for its lightweight, high-quality, stable and comfortable designs,
Skechers Performance GO GOLF has achieved prominence within the golf
category alongside the brand’s award-winning running, walking and
training collections. The Skechers Performance GO GOLF apparel line
offers athletes comfort and freedom of movement through a wide
assortment of styles constructed with innovative moisture-wicking

Skechers Celebrates 20th Anniversary of the Skechers Energy

Skechers Celebrates 20th Anniversary of the Skechers Energy

Jun 12, 2019 • 9:00 am EDT

Two Decades Later, the Iconic Style Returns with a Commemorative
Release

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
In 1999, the growing footwear brand Skechers introduced the Skechers
Energy to the world. Featuring an outsole that was like nothing else on
the market, Skechers Energy quickly became the footwear brand’s iconic
style for women and men, selling more than 100 million pairs to date.
And now with the chunky sneaker trend back and hotter than ever, the
Skechers Energy is returning to commemorate 20 years as the true
original of this movement.

The footwear brand will mark this historic Skechers Energy anniversary
by releasing three limited-edition anniversary styles that are a
callback to the Skechers “It’s the S” advertising campaign from the
original Energy era. These styles are just the start of the Skechers
Energy revival, with an expanded collection featuring updated colors
rolling out through the year.

“When we look back at the thousands of styles released over the 27 years
since we established Skechers, the Skechers Energy really stands out as
a look that helped define our brand just as we were hitting our stride,”
began Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers. “With Britney Spears as
the face of the Skechers Energy at launch, it became our first massive
global hit style and helped drive awareness for the Skechers brand
around the world. We love that the chunky design Skechers originated is
now all the rage in fashion footwear, driving massive excitement for our
Skechers D’Lites collection. This anniversary is a perfect opportunity
to re-introduce old and new Skechers fans to the style that started it
all.”

After pioneering the chunky sneaker look two decades ago with the
Skechers Energy for men and women, as well as the Skechers Stamina for
men, the style evolved and the Company introduced Skechers D’Lites—a
lighter version of its original style—in 2007. Though the collection has
always had a dedicated consumer base, sales accelerated across Asia over
the last two years after regional marketing included K-Pop groups. In
2017, the Company relaunched an even lighter update of Skechers D’Lites
in celebration of its ten-year anniversary and recently debuted the
modernized, even chunkier Skechers D’Lites 3.0 collection. Next on the
trend is a return of the Skechers Stamina—now for women as well.

The original Skechers Energy style 2250 and the limited edition
anniversary colorways are available at Skechers retail stores, www.skechers.com,
and select retail partners in the United States, as well as in many
global markets.
